AIM:   To help delegates understand legal requirements relating to the Lifting      Operations & Lifting Equipment Regs & the Provision & Use of Work     Equipment Regs, in order that they are able to meet their responsibilities.

This course covers the following legal requirements:

• Appointment of competent persons
• Requirement for inspections of lifting equipment
• Keeping of relevant records
• Supervision & planning of lifting operations
• Requirement for risk assessments
• Requirements for the provision of training
• Maintenance of work equipment
• Protection of work equipment users from equipment failure or over turning

The importance of  ensuring that work equipment is used in a safe manner and that supervisors have a thorough understanding of relevant regulations can not be over emphasised.   This one day course concentrates upon the key requirements for establishing systems that protect employees who are required to carry out lifting   operations or supervise users of work equipment.   

This course  is designed to accommodate a maximum of 10 delegates and upon completion delegates are certificated in order to meet HSE requirements.
